Hamdi Kozlu is Vice President, Quality, for UTC Aerospace Systems. Named to this position in March 2015, Kozlu is responsible for the worldwide Quality organization. He provides leadership for all UTC Aerospace Systems product quality assurance programs, ACE, and the Quality management system. He is also responsible for driving quality performance and culture across the company to improve customer results.
Kozlu has held leadership positions in Engineering, Quality, Operations and general management over his 25-year career, with the last 20 years spent at United Technologies Corporation. Kozlu began his UTC career at Carrier as an engineering product lead. He later joined Pratt & Whitney where he held a series of executive positions including Director of Engineering; Vice President of Quality; Vice President and General Manager for Compression Systems Module Center; and Vice President, Manufacturing Programs for Military Engines.
In 2010 Kozlu joined UTC Aerospace Systems as Vice President, Engineering, for mechanical disciplines. In his most recent role with the company, Kozlu served as Vice President of Engineering for the Power, Controls & Sensing Systems segment, providing leadership to key development programs such as the A320neo, JSF, A400M and 787.
Kozlu received his bachelor’s degree from the Technical University in Turkey and both a master’s and a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
