Engineered Polymer Products (EPP) offers lightweight composite structures for aerospace applications that house the aircraft’s satellite radio receiver, transmitter and other sensitive components. Products include protective or radomes as well as aircraft-mounted packboards used to house evacuation slides.
Some aerospace composites are constructed of carbon fiber with a honeycomb core to produce a stiff lightweight structure. They are autoclave-cured and machined, using proprietary processes to achieve precision tolerances.
Benefits of lightweight aerospace composites are their extreme ruggedness to resist aerodynamic forces, buffeting, hail, bird, lightning strikes, handling, cleaning, and de-icing.
